Initial Psychological Crime-Drama Storyboard

In class today we discussed the criteria of a successful storyboard, this was really helpful and we engaged in this activity as a class which made the whole discussion fun and useful.

Success Criteria for Storyboard...

  • Detailed Explanation of each shot in regards to the Shot Numbers, Types of Shots, Sound Content and the lengths of Shot. also included should be a reason for each choices made.
  • Include as many shots as possible and reflect as perfectly as possible the actual outcome of the concluding media text/Production of opening sequence.
  • Accurate timings: Timings should be as accurate as possible on your storyboard.
  • Include Editing (e.g. Transitions) and Camera movements. Also explanation of Sound choices as well as if they are going to be Diegetic or Non-Diegetic.
  • Think carefully about the shot types, location, lighting and background noises, try to discuss how it could affect your production.
This is an image of my storyboard which I created keeping the success criteria for a storyboard in mind...
